How does The Hulk transform?
Different versions of The Hulk give us different reasons for his
transformation.
In all of them, a high dose of gamma rays are involved. The
gamma rays mutate Bruce Banner's DNA and cause him to transform
into The Hulk whenever he's angry.
Gamma rays good?
Not in the real world! Gamma rays are a type of high-energy
radiation. If we were exposed to high doses of gamma rays, our cell
DNA would be mutated or even destroyed. This is fatal. Marie Curie
died from illnesses caused by gamma radiation poisoning.

What about The Hulk's powers?
The Hulk is a big green strength machine! Lots of animals are
very strong, but can they transform from a weak animal to a strong
animal very quickly?
Scientists haven't found an animal that can do this yet. Some
animals, like butterflies and beetles, transform from a juvenile
form to an adult form. The two forms look very different, like
caterpillars and butterflies. This transformation takes weeks or
even months.
Bruce Banner's weight increases by eight times when he turns
into The Hulk. To increase your weight and volume like this would
