Here at Planet Science we've
mentioned the excellent Big Picture
resources from the Wellcome Trust before,
and the latest edition has as much to offer science teachers as
ever...

The new issue of 'Big Picture:
Number Crunching' explores how science works and look
at how statistics can help us summarise data, see whether figures
are significant and put our findings into context. It looks at how
people relate to risk and probability, and contains many key ideas
in basic statistics.

The new issue is being delivered at
the moment, or can be downloaded here. Remember, though,
that Big Picture is not just a magazine - there are lots of extra
educational resources online...
