Plants move all day, every day. They're very slow, so you need
special cameras to see them.
Plants need sunlight to make food. They absorb sunlight through
their leaves. Every day, their leaves follow the sun across the sky
to get as much sunlight as possible.
Have a look at this video showing plants moving to follow the
sun during the day and candlelight at night:
But what do you do if the sunlight is blocked by tall trees?
Plants have a nifty trick - they climb.
Check out this video of plants climbing tall trees. The plants
look like something out of a sci-fi film!
To find out how good plants are at finding sunlight, make a potato
obstacle course. Can your potato find the way to the
sunlight?
