Setting up your own company is a big step-
and if it's a science company with complicated and very technical science behind it you won't be doing it 'til you have gone through quite a bit of education!
For this reason the websites about business that are aimed at young people don't have many science companies as examples, but they are very good for inspiration and advice whatever kind of company you're thinking of.
For example, download NESTA and Channel 4's Dare to Dream booklet here for all the encouragement you'll need!

www.starttalkingideas.com
This will give you lots of oomph in the right direction to think about running your own company. It isn't very science specific, but if you want to be enterprising and be inspired this is a good place to start.

www.startups.co.uk
As the name suggests, this site is interested in new businesses and how to set them up, finance them, and give yourself the best chance of business survival. They have advice for science people, but you'll have to put science into their search to find it! Here's one science profile for a biologist who's also into posh food! http://www.startups.co.uk/YegAOfhoX8KDRw.html

www.shell-livewire.org
This is the site for an award scheme for young entrepreneurs, with lots of inspiring film clips about young successful businesses. There's also advice for anyone thinking of starting up a business.

www.businessdynamics.org.uk and www.youngenterprise.org.uk both run programmes in schools to teach young people about enterprise and business. If you nag your teacher they might invite them to yours!

If you want to see more about science innovation then you could do worse than to browse around NESTA's own I&I awardees, and some of the fellows from their Fellowship programme too.
Here's the links to see how our Invention and Innovation team work : http://www.nesta.org.uk/insidenesta/hwf_invent_inno.html
And here's some of NESTA's awardees to read about these are all the ones that fall into the science category

And finally if you're into inventions than check out our special library section on inventiveness
