garlic croutons
You will need:

2 slices of wholemeal bread

50g (2 oz) garlic butter*.
*Combine 1 crushed clove of garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley with 100g (4 oz) butter. Melt in Microwave 30 seconds, and stir well. Store in refrigerator in a suitable container. |
What to do:

Place garlic butter in medium sized shallow Pyrex dish, Microwave 1-1½ minutes until melted.

Cut the crusts off the bread slices and cut into centimetre cubes (half inch cubes) then toss in the melted butter.

Place a circle of baking parchment on Microwave carousel and arrange buttered cubes around the edge of the parchment. Microwave 1-2 minutes, the croutons will begin to brown and will crispen on standing a couple of minutes. |
