Microwave Magic

flapjack

You will need:

75g (3 oz) butter
75g (3 oz) Demerara Sugar
2 tablespoons syrup
175g (6oz) Oats

What to do:



In a large bowl, Microwave butter and sugar 2 minutes.



Stir in syrup and oats, press into rectangular dish approximately 15 x 18cms (6 x 7 inches). You should line the dish to stop the flapjacks sticking to the bottom, greaseproof paper smeared with butter should do the trick.



Microwave on medium for 5 minutes, turning half way through cooking time.


Allow to cool slightly, cut into fingers and cool completely.
THE DISH WILL BE RED HOT AT THE END OF THE 5 MINUTES - SO TAKE CARE AND USE OVEN GLOVES.

This recipe makes 12 slightly 'chewy' flapjack fingers, which are delicious and nutritious
