flour and salt clay dough
You will need:
100g (4 oz) plain flour
50g (2 oz) salt
65 ml (2.5 fl oz) water
What to do:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, knead very well until smooth and pliable, (do not make too wet).

Mould into shapes e.g. 1) MINI BREAD TWISTS, add a little yellow food colouring with water then sprinkle the tops of the mini-bread twists with water then poppy or sunflower seeds, or 2) CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATIONS, cut into shapes making a hole at the top with a cocktail stick.

Place on baking parchment, in a circle around the edge of the carousel. Microwave 10-12 minutes on MEDIUM power, keep checking, when the surface is dry to touch remove from the oven. |

When completely dry, decorate with acrylic paints, thread a ribbon through the hole and decorate your Christmas tree. (If the decorations are to be kept for years it is advisable to varnish as the dough might go 'mouldy'.) |
NOTE: if you want to make decorations in different colours then divide the mixture up into as many colours as you need, then add the colours to the divided up water, then mix separately. I.E. if you wanted two colours, divide the mixture and the water into two.
