Have we discovered a future apprentice or entrant into the Dragon's Den?” Hennock Community Primary School Team name: Minty Menaces Smoothie winners! The menaces organised a fair that made St Patricks day go all green with jealousy – they ate, drank and played all things green and minty, as well as designing their own mint related characters and they even charged people for the privilege of wearing minty green clothes. Very entrepreneurial. Kemball Special School Team name: Kemball Specials Smoothie winners! The bookmarks said (what else?) Have a Mint Fathers Day and had pressed leaves and lamination too. Ladygrove Primary School Team name: Mrs Anson’s Year 5/6 “We selected the chocolate fountain idea because …we had the opportunity to use scientific words such as solid, liquid, solidify, reversible change etc.”. (hmm… tasty) Willows Primary School Team name: Minted Making a Mint WINNERS! This school was too good to be true; making £626.63 they whipped the school into a minty frenzy. Pioneering the minty toast and the mint scented jewellery. Lunchtimes were lost, knowledge was gained and everyone had 10 out of 10 on the minty fun index. Potted up mint sold in aid of the local hospice – a team of only two, Stephanie and Lucy did a brilliant job, they raised loads and featured in the local paper and the Planet Science Newsletter. Isca College of Media Arts Team name: Environment club “Minty fresh has been proven to create a calm and great smelling environment, helps to sooth the mind and muscles, and is highly recommended to citizens of all ages.” They certainly know how to sell.
