Recording your own sounds
Before you use the PS100x you'll need to make sure you have a microphone connected and that the sound levels in the system control panel are set for any such input device (such as an external microphone), adjust the volume levels to ensure you can hear your recordings.
Creating a tune
If you would like to record a 'tune' in the sequencer, try using one of the single note instruments in the MUSIC library first, for example the Piano or Flute. It's easier to create a tune with a 'real' note on the keyboard than using one of the sound effect files.
Once you've practised and then recorded your masterpiece with that musical note, try selecting another sound from the library. Load it in the channel youve recorded your tune to and play the sequence again.

The PS100x will take a few moments to fully load. The progress bar will display which elements are being loaded as it starts up.
During the loading process you will see some dialogue boxes. These form part of the application.
They will ask you to allow Xtra plug-ins to be downloaded and stored within Shockwave. This is a perfectly normal routine for this type of software and will not affect your system. Subsequently you may be asked to accept their terms and conditions and grant permission for these Xtras to read sound input levels and store recorded sounds in the application. You should accept these.
NOTE: Once The PS100x has fully loaded, you may go 'offline'. You do not need to be connected whilst using the application.
