We thought you'd like something for the kids to be getting on with while you prepare the snacks!
Print cut out and have some glue or a stapler handy. Make a circle of the first strip, fix with glue, then thread the second strip through the first, and glue into circle with the design facing out of course! Repeat till you have a chain as long as you like. (Each page gives you 7 x 30cm strips. Each strip makes a 10cm loop. So each page will make 70cm of paperchain)

Get creative. Here are some other ideas for 'spooking' the place up...
* Black balloons
* Coffin-shaped table top
* Dead branches or flowers in pots
* Candles (do have something to extinguish fire on hand, or place candles up very high out of harms way!)
* Cobweb spray
* Glo-in-the-dark stars
* Crystal balls
