Who would have thought drawing would be so important to Science? Lewis Latimer was working as an office boy in a patent law firm when his employers found that he could draw the most amazingly accurate and beautiful technical drawings – a must if you wanted to protect your inventions! He moved from drawing other people’s inventions to coming up with his own including improving the light bulb. He worked with Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison and become one of the leading inventors in America.
