Getting Lucky
We all take risks in some form or another starting up a business, travelling to a tropical country without getting all our jabs, using up savings to bet on a horse, or jumping out of a plane (preferably with a parachute strapped on!). Whilst we might not be able to influence the outcome of some events, there are times where our behaviour can put us at more or less risk than others. Teenagers in UK are known to be very risky... especially when it comes to sex. So what is the likelihood of an average teen catching an STI (sexually transmitted infection)? Or for that matter, becoming a teen parent?

‘Hello? Are you listening?’ How many times have you had to say that to a pupil? Nobody wants to work with those who are not prepared to pay full attention... especially in the workplace. All careers involve working accurately, paying close attention to the task, and using whatever equipment is required, whether it is a telephone, computer, microscope or saucepan. Pobody’s nerfect, but those who strive for perfection usually do really well.

The Answer’s In The Solution ... Or Is It?
We all have our problems, it’s a part of daily life. Do you remember learning French at school? We didn’t have all the vocabulary we needed, but we always found a creative way to get our point across based on what vocabulary we knew. Finding a way to solve problems at school and at work using what we know is a valuable skill. And when you use this skill to solve a population’s problem in one go that’s when you’re an inventor!

Magnificent spagh-edifices

Who’s in my team?
Collaborate. Cooperate. Communicate. We hear these a lot, but why are they so important? The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively is a vital life skill, whatever the career: animators, scientists, designers, actors, boybands etc. to infinity and beyond. Anyone found a job that allows you to work alone 24:7 for every working day of the year? Hmm, we thought not.
