| This may seem like a long time ago now but the Curriculum Review has been going strong and is now entering its final phase. First of all, thanks to everyone who took the time to fill out our online questionnaire, your input is very much appreciated. We had over 2000 responses to the survey and now, at last, the results have been published. For those of you whose memory needs joggling, a quick reminder of what it was all about. Planet Science and the Science Museum decided that a review should be carried out of the science curriculum but that it should have one defining characteristic all the work would be done by post GCSE students! So, with the minimum of adult intervention, regional groups of pupils got together to try to work out the questions that they wanted to be answered about their science curriculum what were the highs, the lows, and how things should change. Then a national group of students met in London and finalised the list of questions. The online survey went live and the responses poured in. Back in London, a new national group of students was assembled and the serious business of analysis began. And now, slightly later than billed, we have the results
..
Its worth having a read through both reports to get a good understanding of the significance of this review. If you would like any further information about the curriculum review please contact joanna.edwards@nesta.org.uk. |
