Science Year archive...what went before

Planet Science was a continuation of the educational campaign called ‘Science Year’ which ran from September 2001 to September 2002.

Because of the success and achievements of the Science Year, it was decided by the DfES that the project should be extended until 31st July 2003 under our new brand name, Planet Science.

Science Year Projects and Activities
Throughout the country, individuals and organisations ran science-related activities with Science Year branding.
In addition to these, our team and our partners developed and managed a host of Science Year-funded projects, many of which are still running…

The Science Year Launch
