geology! isn't that all about rocks?


Yes it is but it's not as strange as you might imagine.
Rocks have been on the menu for millions of years.

Plant eating dinosaurs like Diplodocus and Brontosaurus regularly swallowed large pebbles to help crush the masses of hard, woody vegetation they ate. Scientists call these gastroliths - and animals like elephants and crocodiles still do the same today.

Yes, but that's not eating a rock is it?

No, but then your teeth would probably only last one meal. You can cook with rocks though because they are excellent at storing heat. Or, if you study your food you can learn about the rockyworld around you.
