planet goth... haunted house

the driveway

What's this? Dark clouds gathering? Lightening? The hoot of an owl. Where are you going? Are you crazy? No don’t go through those gates! Don’t you know that no one has lived in that old manor house since…no, noooooo cooooooome baaaaaaack…

Nothing beats eerie weather to give a gothic horror film some atmosphere. In thick fog, the ghouls can get very close without being seen. Thunder disguises the sound of the vampire climbing into the heroine’s house - while the lightning gives brief blinding glimpses of the horror to come…

Weather becomes creepy when it stops us seeing or hearing our surroundings as well as we might like – is that the howling wind or a werewolf? We rely heavily on our senses of sight and hearing to assess dangers around us.

The next time it’s raining heavily or a mist has rolled in, keep your eyes open and your ears alert – you never know who might be behind you. A Ha Ha Haaaaa…..

What’s that? You’re lost on the moor and were hoping to get directions… well don’t just stand there shivering…Come in…
