Busted still Reeling!
As the rocking trio struggle to cope with the loss of one of their favourite guitars, have the investigations encountered some setbacks?
Although the Chief Investigator on the case quickly identified five likely suspects, it has since emerged that they each have alibis. From super scorer James Beattie to extreme biker Zach Shaw, pop diva Ms Dynamite, dance crazy S Club and funky songsters Blazin’ Squad, all of the suspected celebrities claim cast-iron excuses for their whereabouts at the time of the crime.
ALL IN THE TIMING?
The question is: what exactly WAS the time of the crime? The answer to that lies in the magnetic strip on a security swipecard that was found discarded at the scene of the crime. This card had been used by the villain to enter the locked storeroom - where guitarist James Bourne had placed his prized guitar for safekeeping.
With the aid of this card, the crime could have been perpetrated in superquick time... But how does this timing fit in with the suspects' movements during the day?
CALLING ALL WHODUNIT INVESTIGATORS
The Chief Investigator is now calling on forensic teams throughout the country to help identify which of the celebs would have had time to commit the crime before dashing to the place that provides their alibi. By decoding the swipe card and using a detailed map of the surrounding area, it should be possible for investigators to make the vital calculations that will bring the criminal ever closer to identification…
The trail is definitely hotting up. Keep checking back for more Word on the Streets as the case unfolds.

Newsflash! May 23rd
Pop supergroup Busted bravely continued their sell-out UK tour this week, as forensic teams around the country began their investigations into the shock theft of lead guitarist James Bourne’s prized Fender on May 11th.
The crime took place during the band’s visit to Birmingham for an upbeat VIP-only concert. The loss of the guitar left James and his buddies jangled, but events took an even more unsavoury turn when it was later revealed that it the light-fingered crim must have been one of the VIPs in attendance…
WHO’S GOT THE GUITAR?
BMX star Zach Shaw, sassy singer Ms Dynamite, goal-mad Southampton FC star James Beattie, urban dudes Blazin’ Squad and chart veterans S Club are all in the frame. As all claim innocence and none have been spotted out and about with a beautiful new white guitar, it’s going to be forensic evidence or nothing that nails our nabster...
THE ANALYSIS BEGINS
Fortunately several clues were found at the scene of the crime and these have now been despatched to laboratories for analysis. To the untrained eye, they don’t look like much. A few fibres, a footprint, a cheeky note proclaiming ‘I’VE GOT IT!’, and the swipe card that was used to enter the locked store-room. Crazy to think these fragments of evidence alone could bring our over-confident culprit to justice, but that’s what you can do with forensic science these days…
While the lab tests are being carried out, keep your eyes peeled and your ears pinned back for any more information that could help the police with their enquiries.
It’s a jungle out there, and some cat’s got that guitar…
